ホロホロスリッパ

天気の良い日には、ビーチのいたるところにスリッパが見つかります。ハワイ語の「ホロホロ」は、「散歩、乗馬、または航海に行く」という意味です。小さな読者は、波やフック、足にスリッパがホロホロしているのを見て楽しむでしょう。また、サーファー、カニ、好奇心旺盛な魚が描かれたスリッパも見つかります。スリッパがどこへ行っても、波はそれを再び岸に押し戻します。

著者について

コミュニケーションと英語の教師であるカリン・ホッパーは、ニューイングランドの小さな町で育ち、1994 年にハワイに移住しました。趣味として執筆をしたり、ノースショアのビーチで過ごしたりしています。Holoholo Slipper は、ビーチでの冒険で子供たちが何度も失くしたスリッパからインスピレーションを得ています。

イラストレーターについて

ジュリー・ラムは台湾で生まれ育ちました。幼い頃は絵を描くのが大好きで、祖父が紙を無尽蔵に用意してくれたので、落書きする紙が尽きることはありませんでした。12年間家族と過ごしたハワイのカウアイ島には、たくさんの思い出があります。Photoshopでデジタルアートを制作するのが好きで、子供や動物をテーマにした作品が多いです。現在はネバダ州ラスベガスに住んでいます。
