Mele the Nēnē

Mele's beloved Tutu nēnē leads her from the misty mountains of Haleakala to Maui's sandy shores sharing stories of their ancestors who learned to live gently on these sacred lands. Through their journey together, Mele discovers that to mālama ʻāina - care for the land - is to honor the past and protect the future. By living pono, she finds her own place in the long line of caretakers and stewards who have loved these islands before her.
